From local expertise to global excellence: our story

1990 Wieners+Wieners GmbH was founded in Ahrensburg, near Hamburg, Germany.

2017 Wieners+Wieners GmbH merged with Apostroph Group, making it the leader in the DACH region.

2018 Strengthening of the north German location through the acquisition of Bremen-based López-Ebri Fachübersetzungen GmbH with the specialist brand medDOC.

2019 Acquisition of the Munich-based agency Burton, Van Iersel & Whitney to establish a greater presence in southern Germany. Ulrich Barnewitz, until then authorised representative and Head of Sales / Marketing and Service, assumes management of the company.

2020 López-Ebri and Burton, Van Iersel & Whitney merged and now operate under the name Wieners+Wieners.

2021 Further market penetration through the launch of the Apostroph Germany brand.

2022 Change of name from Wieners and Wieners to Apostroph Germany.

2025 Apostroph becomes part of the TransPerfect Group and is now part of the world’s largest provider of language and technology solutions.
